There are two ways for Tribal land residents to qualify for the enhanced Tribal Lifeline benefit:
- Program-Based: If you or someone in your household is already participating in one of the nine Tribal or federal Lifeline qualifying government programs such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid, Federal Public Housing Assistance, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), or Veterans Pension Survivors' Benefit; or participate in Tribal programs like Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance, Tribal Head Start, Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TTANF), or Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR). Proof of program participation may be required.
- Income-Based: You or someone in your household can qualify for Lifeline through proof of your income below 135% of the federal poverty guidelines.
